SHAN Achar Gosht Mix 50g is a specialized, ready-to-use spice blend designed to recreate the authentic, tangy, and spicy flavors of South Asian “pickled meat” curry. It combines premium aromatic spices with a distinct sour profile, traditionally used to cook beef, mutton, or chicken.

🍳 Official Shan Foods Recipe
To make a standard batch using the entire 50g packet, you will need the following fresh ingredients:
Required QuantityMeat (with bones)1 kg (2.2 lbs), cut into small portions
Tomatoes6 medium (500g), ground into a smooth puree.
Plain Yogurt 2 ½ cups (500g), thoroughly whipped
Green Chilies 10 medium size, slit lengthwise
Lemon Juice 3–4 tablespoons
Ginger & Garlic Paste 1–2 tablespoons each
Cooking Oil 1 cup (175ml)
Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions:
Stuff the Chilies: Take 2 tablespoons of the spice mix from the packet and blend it with the lemon juice.
Fill the slit green chilies with this paste and set them aside.
Sear the Meat: Heat the oil in a deep pot. Add your choice of meat, garlic paste, ginger paste, whipped yogurt, and the remaining spice mix.
Stir-fry over high heat for 7–10 minutes.
Simmer: Pour in 2–3 cups of water.
Cover the pot with a tight lid and let it simmer over low heat until the meat becomes completely tender.
Reduce & Garnish: Stir in the tomato puree and cook on high heat for 5–6 minutes. Place the stuffed green chilies directly over the meat gravy. Cover and simmer on low heat until the oil separates and floats to the top.
