Spice Paste for Indonesian Nasi Goreng

Ingredients: Tomato paste, shallots, soybean oil, salt, soy sauce (water, sugar, soybean, salt, wheat flour), tamarind, garlic, dried shrimp, sugar, red chilli, shrimp paste (shrimp, salt)

Storage: Store in a dry place and protect from direct sunlight. Once opened, use immediately.

Preparation:

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1 packet Spice Paste for Indonesian Nasi goreng
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 250g shelled prawns
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 600g cooked rice
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into 8 pieces
  • chopped coriander, thinly sliced red chillies or egg sunny side up as garnish (optional).

Direction:

  1. Heat oil in non-stick wok or pan on medium-high heat. Add prawns and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Push the prawns to one side. Add egg and cook for 1 minute. Add rice and Spice Paste. Stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  3.  Add tomatoes and stir-fry for 1 minute or until hot. Garnish.
