Preparation:
For best results, soak rice in water for 45 minutes before cooking.
Closed pan: Add rice to small quantity of water, boil and stir it occasionally. Cover pan with light lid and let it simmer for 12-14 minutes. Reduce the heat and let it steam for 5 minutes before serving.
Open pan: Bring water to a boiling level. Add rice and stir gently. Cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes on medium heat. Drain and rinse with some more boiling water. Now steam the rice 10 minutes with reduced heat.
